If

If I get a puppy or a pony for Christmas, I’ll be happy

If I get into that college, I’ll be happy

If my car makes it to the next gas station, I’ll be happy

If the interview goes as planned, I’ll be happy

If the promotion comes through, I’ll be happy

If the project goes under budget, I’ll be happy

If she says yes, I’ll be happy

If my child is born healthy, I’ll be happy

If my company doesn’t move my job overseas, I’ll be happy

If the stock market continues to rise, I’ll be happy

If I make VP, I’ll be happy

If my kid graduates and gets into that college, I’ll be happy

If I get that corner office, I’ll be happy

If I don’t get laid off, I’ll be happy

If I can retire and travel, I’ll be happy

If I can recover from surgery, I’ll be happy

If my spouse recovers from surgery, I’ll be happy

If my kids come to visit, I’ll be happy

Ifs are infinite and days are not.

Today is a great day to be happy.
