It’s Not The Work (Chasing Rainbows)

It’s not the work.

It’s not the position description.

It’s not the job title.

It’s not the degree or certification.

It’s not the office, cubicle, or shared workspace.

It’s not the salary.

It’s not the company, their mission, or core values.

It’s not the area of the country.

It’s not the customer.

All of these are only places of abdicated responsibility. A place where we promise ourselves, “I’ll be great when…” or “After I achieve X, then I’ll be able to Y.” It’s the place where the rainbow ends and we are sure happiness lies.

It’s only you and how you choose to show up. Every day.
